Exploring the Japanese Art and Japanese Whisky

26 April 2024

We had the privilege of hosting a special event with Mr. Jeremy Chu from Whiskiology in Art Curators Hub Gallery. The evening was a captivating exploration of the world of Japanese whisky and Japanese art.

The highlight of the evening was the guided tasting that followed. Mr. Jeremy Chu selected a lineup of exceptional Japanese whiskies, each offering a distinct flavor profile that showcased the incredible diversity within the category. As we swirled, nosed, and sipped our way through the samples, he provided expert insights on the nuances of cask selection, maturation, and blending.

Interwoven throughout was a captivating exploration of three renowned Japanese artists - Satoshi Itoh, Toyohiko Nishijima, and Hiroyuki Hara. People were happy to see the works of these artists and to learn about the connections between their art and the craft of whisky making.
