Kirkcowan (Bladnoch) Distillery

Located in the Lowlands region of Scotland and operated for over 200 years. Bladnoch never stopped distiling Single Malt Whiskies. Since 1817 when it was first established by the McClelland family, they successfully grew and modernised the distillery to produce 230,000 litres of alcohol a year and cemented its status as the “Queen of the Lowlands”.

Until Australian businessman David Prior, along with ex-Scotch Whisky Association CEO, Gavin Hewitt purcahsed Bladnoch in 2015 and began an extensive refurbishment of the distillery. Today its popularity spreaded across the world with accessibility to their Single Malts and premium blends and remains the oldest and largest privately owned Scotch distillery.
